28 sept. 1781 - Battle of Yorktown

Description:

The Battle of Yorktown took place in 1781 in Yorktown, Virginia, and is often considered the most important battle of the Revolution. General George Washington - along with the French - led army and navy to trap Lord Cornwallis between land and sea and caused the British General to surrender. As the last major battle of the war, the Battle of Yorktown holds significance as it was what prompted Britain to negotiate the end of the conflict.
