Description:

The Declaration of Independence was signed by various delegates in the Independence Hall in Philadelphia. It was a very significant event as it was the declaration of liberation from the British, what the purpose of the American Revolution had been. Primarily, it contained the goals of the nation, then the complaints of the colonists against the British King, and lastly the proclamation explaining why the colonists wanted to be liberated from the British. It had the obvious result of the colonists officially declaring they are free from the British and they are their own sovereign nation, the United States of America. It had the effect of gaining a massive size of supporters in the fight against the British for freedom.
