During The Inquisition famous philosopher and physicist Galileo was warn down and brought to his knees. He was forced by The Inquisition to recant his belief that the Earth revolved around the Sun and did so. The Church believed that saying the Earth revolved around the Sun was against their teachings. They have since apologized for their actions and even though they eventually stopped Galileo the knowledge he obtained has deeply affected what we know about the Solar System.Ajouté au bande de temps:
