9 mars 1832 - Treaty Gives Iowa Land to U.S. Government
Description:
After the "Black Hawk War" the Sauk tribe was forced to give up land on the west side of the Mississippi River to the United States. A 50-mile wide strip of land from the Neutral Ground to the Missouri border was given up. This land became part of the Iowa territory.Ajouté au bande de temps:
