-Discovered in the Bronze Age. The Bronze Age is a historical period characterized by the use of bronze. Bronze is a mixture of mainly copper and tin. Bronze is malleable meaning it is easy to mould into tools and weaponry.
-Iron is used to manufacture steel, used in engineering ( for example reinforced concrete) and in manufacturing.
Iron has to be blasted and chemically extracted to be pure.
