Description:

- signed by the Presidents of Bosnia, Serbia and Croatia
- outlined a General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Bosnia became a single state of two parts; the Bosnian-Croat Federation and the Bosnian Serb Republic
- Sarajevo remained undivided
- Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatia had to recognise each other's sovereignty and respect human rights
- peace enforced by a 60 000-man international peacekeeping mission
