Description:
- Parliament enacts new duties to be collected on colonial import of tea, glass, and paper- requires that the revenues raised be used to pay crown officials in the colonies, thus making them independent of the colonial assemblies that have previously paid their salaries
- provide for the search of private homes for smuggled goods
- suspends New York's assembly for the colony's defiance of the Quartering Act
