4 mai 1911 - Nuclear Model
Description:
Rutherford fired positively charged alpha particles at a thin sheet of gold foil. He noticed that some light with little deflection, but some deflected at a larger angle. He infered that this could be possible only if the atom was mostly empty, with the positive charge concetrated in the centre — the nucleus.
