Description:

The Controlled Substances Act, also known as the Comprehensive Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Act, replaced all prior drug legislations.

-Schedule I controlled substances (high potential for abuse and no medical use): heroin, LSD, marijuana, ecstasy, and GHB are illegal under any and all circumstances

-Schedule II substances (high potential for abuse, some medical use): cocaine, methamphetamine, opium, morphine, methadone, and codeine
