24 mars 1346 - Black Death in Europe
Description:
The Black Death was a plague epidemic caused by humans living with rodents (typically black rats) that become infected. These rats fast for three days, then bite humans. The bite becomes a lymph node that swells and forms a bubble. It takes approximately ten days before the victim dies. Between 1346 and 1353, around 60% of Europe's population was wiped out (approximately 50 million people).
