Description:
Due to the nature of Italian city-states, where when one became too powerful, the others would attempt to counter the power rise. Florence and Naples entered an agreement to conquer Milanese territories due to the wealth and prestige of Milan. Milan then called on Charles VIII for support, who then invaded Italy. This made Italy into the focus of international ambition and resulted in constant warfare being fought across the country.
