24 janv. 1478 - Beginning of the Spanish Inquisition
Description:
Massive anti-jewish movement within Spain—attempted to forcefully convert/kill many Jews living in Spain. The inquisition also lead to the idea of blood purity to prevent the argument that many Jewish individuals living in spain had already become sincere Catholics. This created the idea of the “Jewish Race” used throughout European conceptions of race.
