Description:
Following the establishement of Punta Arenas in 1848, the British establish a fort in Tierra Del Fuego to protect their access to the strait of Magellan, they named this fort Sandy Point.More and more forts would be established across the archipelago and even on the southernmost coasts of Patagonia.
