Beginning around May 10, science-minded and/or particularly observant characters will notice changes that seem to indicate that the Earth has reversed rotation: The sun will begin rising in the west and setting in the east (shadows will be cast in the opposite direction they normally are), and the Coriolis effect will switch directions so that water in sinks, toilets, etc. will spin clockwise instead of the current counter-clockwise. (Ash, take 5 points for this suggestion!)

Rainfall will significantly decrease, and there will be much more sun this month than previously. This is absolutely not average Pacific Northwest weather.
