Description:

In the beginning of sixth grade, I began the "Advanced Honors" Math Program at school. I don't mean to brag, but no subject in school had ever been particularly challenging, and the sudden jump from fifth grade math to Pre-Algebra was tough. I finished with a B+ first marking period, and it didn't get much better.

This is important to me because it taught me that individual grades don't matter, especially at that age. It made me a lot more relaxed about school in general, which is something I carry with me to this day.
