Description:
Fust: born 1400. died 1466. Fust sued in 1455 for 2,026 guilders. The court found in Fust’s favour, and Gutenberg lost his invention. Fust originally funded Gutenberg.
Schoffer: born 1425. died 1502. The Psalter was the first printed book to give the date and place of printing and the printers’ names. He funded Gutenberg too, and later married Fust's daughter. Scoffer had made 300 books by the time of his death.
