Description:
Bolivia confiscates the properties of Standard Oil Company, claiming that it committed illegal actions by selling its oil to Argentina, thereby cancelling its agreement with the Bolivian government. The USA denied Bolivia loans from the Export-Import Bank, but with the onset of war, an agreement was reached in which Standard Oil received $1.5 million for the sale of the company to Bolivia.
