Description:

This is a process used in order to create coloured prints of thing as a lithograph. It is done by preparing a stone one at a time separately for each colour used and then printing one colour at a time. This may have been created in the 1830s but was used commercially in the 1860s and was a popular method of colour printing by the end of the 19th century.
