Description:

- Day 12
- They kill all fourteen biters on the second floor and go through half a box of shells and two clips of .22-calibre rounds.
- It takes them an hour to bring them up to the roof so they don't make the apartment smell any more than it already does. Philip and Nick sit on some deckchairs by the edge. Brian won't let himself relax so in an effort to cheer him up, Philip starts dropping bodies off the roof. He and Nick find it amusing but Brian doesn't.
- David notices this and rushes to get dressed. In the living room April, Tara and Penny were making cookies and now freeze in horror as bodies fall one, by one. David isn't concerned about that but the sound is drawing more biters.
- Nick notices a walkway in the distance coming off of 'Dillard's home furnishings'.
- David alerts them that they're attracting a large herd.
