- Day 9
- Penny wakes up from a nightmare and Brian (who is on watch) takes her up front. He shows her a security camera and tells her that they're all safe in the bus. He tells her that her father will never let any of them become like the 'sick people'.
- They make a secret codeword, whenever Brian says the codeword Penny has to close her eyes and cover her ears, and remember that one day she won't have to do it anymore and everything will be back to normal. He lets her pick the word and after a moment of thought, she says 'away'.
