22 nov 1963 - Inauguration of Lyndon B. Johnson
Description:
Johnson's foreign policy is highly associated with the failed war in Vietnam, where the US backed South Vietnam lost to USSR backed North Vietnam along with rebel Viet Cong. Johnson is also known for his increasing aggressiveness towards Latin America. During the Johnson era it was not merely enough to be democratic or liberal, in fact it was preferable to be conservative and authoritarian as this was more anti-communist.
