12 sept. 1919 - Hitler Joins the DAP

Description:

When Adolf Hitler was still a corporal in the German army, he was ordered to spy on the DAP during one of its meetings at the Sterneckerbräu on 12 September 1919. Hitler was very good at making speeches, so Anton Drexler asked him to join the party.
On the orders of his army superiors, Hitler applied to join the party and within a week was accepted as party member 555 (the party began counting membership at 500 to give the impression they were a much larger party)
