20 h 29 août 2003 ans - Wyatt and Eddie get away from Nate, Wyatt or Eddie abandons the other. (400 Days: Wyatt's Story)

Description:

- Day 41
- Wyatt and Eddie run into Nate's group. One of the guys is taking a shit in a bush, Eddie (too worried that the group are going to pull guns on them, shoots the guy after mistaking him for a lurker. They hastily speed away as Nate pursues them in his truck.
- As the two freak out in their car, Nate gains on them. Eddie hands Wyatt a gun to shoot at the truck with. If Wyatt takes the gun, he can shoot out the truck's headlights. If Wyatt doesn't take the gun, Eddie wildly fires at the truck and takes out a headlight. Nate swerves off the road.
- Eddie takes an off-road route and turns off the headlights so they can't be seen. Wyatt can try and help Eddie through this or be an asshole. Eddie turns the lights back on and assures Wyatt that the road is as straight as his dick. They joke around a bit to ease the tension. Eddie asks Wyatt to look for some weed in the glove box. Wyatt finds the ammo Eddie 'lost' last week and reloads the gun.
- Eddie tells Wyatt a story about his ex-girlfriend, Abigail, at a circus sideshow where a buck naked dude peed on her dad. Just then a figure passes in front of the car and Eddie runs them over. The two aren't sure if the guy was living or a lurker because of the thick fog. After looking for a few clues, Eddie is pretty sure the guy was alive.
- They agree that one of them should quickly go out there and try to help him. Wyatt can agree or disagree. Eddie wants to play a game of rock, paper, scissors to decide who goes out there. Wyatt can refuse or play along.
- If Wyatt refuses to play or wins the game then Eddie leaves the car with the revolver. He'll throw the keys to Wyatt who loses them in the dark. He looks around for a while and discovers them under the passenger seat. Suddenly, the truck pulls up and Nate starts pulling Wyatt out the car. Wyatt breaks free and closes the door. Nate smashes the window and Wyatt stabs Nate's hand on a piece of glass. He quickly starts the car and drives away from the scene, leaving Eddie behind.
- If Wyatt loses the game, he'll go out into the fog with the gun and slowly approach the survivor as he passes numerous objects and belongings. Wyatt finds the victim who is a police officer named Bennett (see day 2). He starts to drag Bennett back to the car when a lurker appears. After shooting it, Wyatt can decide to continue helping the police officer or go back alone. Wyatt continues through the fog with or without the cop and occasionally stopping to shoot lurkers. As he approaches the car, Nate's truck pulls up and a struggle between Nate and Eddie ensues, ending with Eddie abandoning Wyatt and Nate taking several shots at the car. Wyatt pauses for a moment before running away, leaving Bennett is he decided to help him. At some point Vince saves his life.
