Description:

The State of Buenos Aires secedes from the Argentine Confederation. France, hoping to again expand itself into South America attempts to offer protectorate status to Buenos Aries, however they refuse.

France still support the State for a few years, causing the State to last over twenty years until 1876. The conflict gave Chile a massive lead in the Scramble for Patagonia
