1 févr. 1946 - Khrushchev calls for peaceful co-esxistence
Description:
This policy arose as an attempt to reduce tension between the two superpowers, particularly as their was a possibility of nuclear war. The peaceful coexistence asserted that the United States and USSR, and their differing political beliefs, could coexist in peace rather than conflicting between the two ideologies. This was a large step towards peace, due to it coming closer to closing agreement between the nations.
