Back in Pakenham again and the first rehearsal with Sabrina! Dorothy and Sabrina arrived after the rest of the band, so they were subjected to a prank where the band members stayed downstairs in the kitchen. Unfortunately JB was needed at work so Only Exception was next to impossible to rehearse although James’ bass part was finally present to Dorothy’s delight. Fix you was mashed up with Issues to the confusion of Sabrina whilst the rest of the band seemed oblivious (citation needed). After much struggle with Rather Be, it was put on hold due to its advanced difficulty despite Ben finally learning the piano part. All in all, the rehearsal part of the rehearsal was cut short in favour of jamming out and trying new instruments with Zac on vocals and Sabrina on the drums and bass (not simultaneously). A highlight of the night was Zac’s ting ting ting too ting ting snare ting (citation needed) (ride ride ride bass ride ride snare ride (citation definitely needed)) through the mic which Dorothy had accidentally switched off. Zac also had one choc split oreo (citation needed) which he never had the chance of trying whilst James taught Sabrina the basic riff. James also brought out one of his tracks with intermediate bass and nightmare drums which Zac felt compelled to try. Sabrina promptly invented a kick drum pedal with two mallets, one looser than the other to offset the hit. Rehearsal wrapped up at around 10:30 pm (citation needed) and Dorothy and Sabrina headed straight home whilst the rest of the band went on a Maccas run.
