15 févr. 1965 - Canada’s National Flag
Description:
For almost a century, Canada did not have a flag of its own. It instead bore the Union Jack and the Canadian Red Ensign. The national flag was at last established on February 15, 1965, after thousands design drafts were filtered through. This gave Canada a unique and recognizable representation identified internationally. Above all, it symbolized Canadian identity, independence, and national unity.
