1452 – At this time Europe begins to use metal plates for printing, Gutenberg used a movable metal type to print the Bible which he finishes in 1456. It worked in a similar way to how it did in China, they used individually carved metal blocks that had the letters carved into them and then they used them and ink to print onto the canvas to display the text.
