20 avr. 1760 - Rematch

Description:

When spring came the French decided to make one more attempt to take back Fort Quebec. They fought for hours, and a windmill had changed hands 5 times! Eventually the British had to fall back to the fort. Because everyone is starving, the winner of this battle was almost guaranteed to be whichever side got a supply ship first. This is what led to the Stalemate and the Surrender. The French interpreted this as one last chance to go forward and attack Britain, they would go ahead and try to take over this fort but ultimately failing. The British interpreted this as any other battle, they weren’t surprised as much due to them taking over this fort months back.
