Description:
A wooden implement used to break up and clear away clods of earth. According to Jennifer Kaner it was a staff terminating with a spade and was employed to clean the coulter of the plough: 1592 <i>Item a forke a pickforke and a cloit stafe</i>, South Cave (Kaner170); 1597 <i>two pickforkes a clut staffe</i>, South Cave (Kaner197).Ajouté au bande de temps:
