Description:

The Fedayeen were Palestinians, branded as terrorists by the Israelis. They would infiltrate Israel and attack Jews.

However, many of the so-called 'terrorists' were actually civilians who held on to their 'right of return' and harvested their crops, or simply wanted to collect possessions and see family.

Between 1950 and 1953, 355 Israelis were injured or killed due to this. However, Israeli reprisals involved the army and were disproportionately large-scale.

Egypt did not try to stop Fedayeen activity out of the Gaza Strip, but Jordan did try to stop it out of the West Bank.
