Terms:-Each Indian family were given the same as a homestead.
-Any leftover land from reservations were given to white settlers.
Aims:
-To break up the power of the tribe as individuals farmed for themselves.
-To make Indians more self-sufficient and encourage them to be more like white Americans.
-To free up space for white settlers.
