1 mars 1985 - Perestroika and Glasnost
Description:
Perestroika (meaning restructuring) and glasnost (meaning openness) were Gorbachev's main points of rule when he came to power. This drastic change from the past ways of the Soviet Union led to many communist nations falling from power. This led to the fall of the Berlin Wall because the Soviet Union began to move towards a more open and negotiable state.
