16 juin 2015 - Carpenter Stakeholders

Description:

Stakeholders for this case would be law enforcement and government officials, smartphone advocates, people who are not for the forward movement of technology, and those being prosecuted for crimes. Law enforcement and government officials are stakeholders because they believe that they need to do whatever they need to do to keep America safe. This means using whatever evidence required to put away the accused. Smartphone advocates are also stakeholders because they feel that the privacy of their phones is not secured. Smartphone advocates believe that Carpenter's privacy pertaining to his location data was violated and that other data could have been analyzed. People not for the new age of technology think that police and law enforcement should do what is necessary to convict criminals, but not do it in an unjust manner. People being prosecuted for crimes may think that this is another loophole that police have found to maybe frame a criminal or assume crimes occurred.
