Description:
On June 21st, 1964, Goodman, Chaney and Schwerner (civil rights workers) disappeared. Goodman and Schwerner were white men who traveled to Mississippi from New York to help organize a civil rights movement for CORE. Chaney was a local black man who was apart of CORE. Their bodies were found buried near a dam in Philadelphia, Mississippi. 41 years after, Edgar Ray Killen was found guilty and was sentenced to 60 years in prison.
