This US supreme court case ruled segregation in public schools illegal and unconstitutional. Now, black and white students could learn together in public schools, and this was a big step towards the vigorous fight for equality. Before this case, Linda Brown, a young black student had to walk the dangerous path across the railroad to her all black school.
