Description:
The 24th amendment was significant to the Civil Rights Movement as it ended poll taxes in federal elections, which prevented African Americans from taking part in the elections. The amendment also it is a citizen's right to vote and they shall not be denied the right to vote just because they are unable to pay the poll tax.
