Description:
The first motor vehicle to be produced for commercial purposes was three wheels. This innovation was produced in 1885 by the German engineer Karl Benz and had a gasoline engine. Called motorwagen, the first units were produced by the inventor's company, Benz & Co., in the German city of Manheim. With the crank-start system, this first car had power of 0.8 hp, being able to reach 18 kilometers per hour.
