1 avr. 1778 - The Depths of Valley Forge
Description:
Description: This might have been the hardest time for all of George Washington's soldiers during the winter. Without any formal place for them to live they had to create their own log cabins. Half of them died to starvation, diseases and other things. Then a man from France came in and helped them with their discipline.
Significant:
1. These events were before a great battle against the British. Because of the work of a man from France named Baron von Steuben. This man helped them be discipline and made them become trained gunmen so by the time spring came around they were more ready to face the British.
2. This shows one of Satan's many deceptions. This deception brought the people of George Washington down and even brought many of them to quit and join the British. So when we are in our hardest times we don't want Satan to move in instead of the Spirit.
3. This event also matters because it showed the hand of the Lord in history. This happened during the story of the soldiers when they went down to the bank to go fishing. The fish came in thousands and they were able to catch a lot and use them for food for the coming weeks. This was a miracle for the Americans who had barely any food.
