Description:
This speech was given by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1941. He delivered this speech during his State of the Union. He outlined four essential human freedoms. These included freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom of want, and freedom of fear. This was to try and gain support of the Allies and to get them to fight this war for these universal rights to all people. These have influenced key documents like the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, and Norman Rockwell who made these four freedoms into famous series of painting that helped with the idea of key freedoms.
