Description:
Puritans found Massachusetts Bay Colony. In the period 1630-1642, nearly 70,000 English people migrated to the new world. 48,000 went to the Sugar plantations of the West Indies and 20,000 to New England. This surge in population put Boston and New England on the map permanently.
