1 janv. 1967 - Withdrawal of British Military
Description:
SG depended on British Military Troops to protect against external threats as volunteer troops were small. Britain could no longer afford money and resources to maintain military commitment in Asia and was focusing on rebuilding its own economy, leaving SG defenceless as it withdrew in 1967. Many lost jobs as they provided goods and services to the military.
