"Ho paura di rientrare nella scatola, ieri ha fatto rumori più forti. Mentre raccoglievo il cibo, credo che gli uomini mi abbiano visto. La scatola è l'unico posto dove nascondersi. Le corde continuano a essere rotte dalla cosa con gli occhi di Papà. Ho paura che lei o gli uomini aprano la mia scatola. Non scriverò più tanto perché ho paura di fare rumore, scriverò di nuovo quando sarò a terra."
("I am scared of going into the box again, it made louder sounds yesterday. While I gathered food, I think the men saw me. The box is the only place to hide. The ropes keep being broken by the thing with Papa's eyes. I am scared that either it or the men will open my box. I will not write as much because I am afraid of making noise, I will write again when I am on land.")
