1 janv. 1200 av. J.-C. - Collapse of the Bronze Age
Description:
There are many theories about why the Bronze Age collapsed. One of the central theories is that there were “Sea Peoples” who came down from the Black Sea which upset the political balance of the Mediterranean. Proof of this includes stories of attacks from Ramses III of Egypt. Another less clear theory is that "everything that can go wrong did go wrong." Notably this doesn't exclude the possibility of the arrival of "Sea Peoples," who were likely the Armenians who emerged shortly after the collapse of the Bronze Age. Other events that may have gone wrong include climate events which lead to battles as people were forced to flee. Evidence of the many destroyed cities also suggests either this mass chaos or the Sea Peoples theory.
