It took lots The 2010 Haiti earthquake was a catastrophic magnitude 7.0 M earthquake, with an epicenter near the town of Léogâne (Ouest), approximately 16 miles west of Port-au-Prince, Haiti's capital. The earthquake occurred at 4:53 local time on Tuesday, 12 January 2010.
Major Event 2:
Ethiopian Airlines Flight 409 crashes into the Mediterranean Sea shortly after take off from Beirut Rafic Hariri international airport killing 90 people on board.This was the first crash for Ethiopian Airlines since the hijack of Ethiopian Airlines Flight 961 in 1996.
Pop Culture:
It was definitely the year of smartphone applications, and no app was bigger than the decidedly loopy “Angry Birds,” a game created by a small Finnish company that involved birds taking their revenge on an evil pig.
Personal History:
Over the summer of 2010 our family visited South Dakota and went to mount rushmore. And visited other sites like bear country. It was one of my first times traveling out of state for vacation. We had a blast and it was definitely a time to remember.
