20 mai 1774 - Coercive Acts May 20-June 2, 1774

Description:

The Coercive Acts, known in the colonies as the Intolerable Acts, were a series of acts passed by the British Parliament from May 20 to June 2, 1774, and were designed to punish Boston for the Boston Tea Party. The four acts included in the Coercive Acts were the Boston Port Act, the Massachusetts Government Act, the Administration of Justice Act, and a new version of the Quartering Act. Contrary to Parliament and King George’s hopes, the acts caused a unified response in the colonies in support of Boston and against Britain.
