-Interchangeable parts: Before, to make guns, an artisan had to make the whole item without messing up; Now, factories could mass produce the parts of an item in bulk for unskilled laborers to assemble
-Cotton Gin: Sped up the process of separating cotton seeds from the fibers to put into a spinning machine to make the cotton into yarn
-Beginnings of the shift from an agrarian to capitalist society
-Shift from subsistence farming (Farm to eat) to commercial farming (Farm cash crops to trade)
-Huge demand from the British textile industry for Southern cotton
