Description:

-Nathaniel Bacon and other farmers were mad because of Indian violence against their land expansion
-Governor William Berkeley ignored their calls for help
-Poor farmers and indentured servants to attack the Indians and Berkeley's plantation
-Resulted in the burning of Jamestown (colonial capital)
-Rebellion was shut down but it left the elite planters scared of another uprising so they transitioned to the use of African slaves
