Description:

-Conquistadors took over the Pubelo people and forced them into conversion under the mission system
-Drought and other Native tribe attacks led Pueblo to blame Spanish and their Christianity for their misfortune
-Led by Popé, the Pueblo uprose and attacked Spanish settlements, driving them out for twelve years (they came back and reconquered)
