Description:

Abu Ghraib, a prison in Baghdad which is used by US forces to detain convicted criminals, has information leaked which outlines human rights violations committed by the US Army and CIA. Some of these crimes include physical abuse, sexual humiliation, physical & psychological torture, desecration of bodies, and rape.

An leaked image shows US soldier Sabrina Harman posing with a deceased prisoner while smiling and giving a thumbs up to the camera (pictured). Another leaked image shows a hooded man standing on a box with, assumably, electrical wires attached to his fingers (pictured).

While US President Bush's administration claims these were isolated incidents which were not reflective of US policy, human rights organizations such as the Red Cross, Amnesty International, and Human Rights Watch argue this is a wider pattern of abuse seen in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the infamous Guantamo Bay, a facility used to hold suspected terrorists during Bush's "war on terror."
